  Stayed at Le Praz in April 2008 Had a fab time. Snow:great, place: brilliant. Skied in Andorra but Couchevel is better. Going back to Le Praz for new year. Looking forward to it and would recommend it to anyone once you've been to Courchevel. You don't want to go anywhere else.

  Been to Courchevel twice now and i now dont want to ski anywhere else! The sheer size and choice make this place Skiing heaven! I would definitely recommend Courchevel 1650 as an alternative to its more expensive neighbour. With a better atmosphere than 1550 and its own ski area, it is almost a hidden gem with fabulous runs like Rocher, Bel Air and Chapelets deserted the majority of the time!
  Courchevel doesnt have to be the rip off many associate with the place. If you choose the right places to eat and drink as well as stay, you can have the best of all worlds. If you fancy a treat, Bel air on a clear sunny day for lunch is amazing!
  If you are considering a skiing holiday and are put off by the price of Courchevel, if you go the first couple of weeks after the schools return in January, you get empty piste, excellent snow and very reasonable prices. Also, you get to ski in four of the best ski resorts in France, Courchevel, Meribel, Val Thorens and Les Menuires so its well worth the extra expense!

  As a moderate intermediate skier all I can say is once you've skied Courchevel and the Three Valleys then you'll have been so spoiled that when your mates ask if you fancy a week in somewhere like Bulgaria "cos it's cheap" then you're going to pull a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp!

  Have stayed in Le Praz several times now and having come back 3 weeks ago have decided to go back for an unscheduled trip in mid March. My advice...avoid first two weeks of Jan while the barmy Russians raise all the bar prices by 100% and give the place a bit of a "heavy" atmosphere and you'll be fine. Fantastic trails over to La Tania, Meribel and Val Thorens with superb and stunning views. Always seems to have snow there and without doubt the biggest and bestest ski area in the world. You should ski it at least once before you die!!!

  If you are a beginner I recommend you stay at 1650. It has a cozy feel and good green runs, is less busy than 1850 and there are some good bars and restaurants which are not a rip-off. There is a free bus that links up the 5 Courchevel villages. Try New Generation for lessons and Le Ski for the best chalet experience ever! We had two big dumps and the most fabulous conditions - can't wait to go back!

  Stayed at 1400 and 1650 on separate ocassions. The vast area that is the 3 valleys is enough to keep you coming back even when conditions aren't the best. One trip at Easter the snow was melting so fast that by 11am you where down to your T-shirt and making damned sure you didn't go through any puddles, Skiing in the afternoon that trip was a task that was rather unrewarding.
  That said, the lure of the 3 valleys is still strong and I would be out like a flash.

  Stayed in 1850 on Jan 13 to 20, 2007. Fantastic snow when the rest of the Alps were bare. So many runs we hadn't time to ski them all. The resort was a bit expensive but on an all in deal we were fine and good value could be found.
  Fantastic holiday all 'round.

  Stayed in 1850, Feb 2006. On the Bellecote run, ski in ski out. It is expensive but there are bars that are reasonable. The weather was great for the first half of the week and brilliant for the 2nd half. I am going back for 2007 and recommend the skiing to anyone!

  I went to Le Praz (also known as Courchevel 1300) in the Christmas of 2005. The snow was fantastic which meant that most of the lifts were open. It also meant that we could ski down to 1300 which in all the times I have been to Courchevel I have never been able to do. I highly recommend it!!! :)

  I spent two weeks in Courchevel, from late January to the beginning of February, and I couldn't believe how good it was. This was only my second ski holiday and I went independently, staying in Le Praz (a lovely village away from the madness of 1850) with Ellis Jackson Ski Holidays. It was a fantastic experience learning how to ski properly on some of the more difficult slopes. I was also very impressed with the way that the pistes were maintained each night, even with the lack of snowfall.

  I met my wife in La Tania and the snow was fantastic as well. We were so impressed by the whole area we sold up in England and moved to the three valleys so now powder days are more frequent. The snow at the moment is great with good cold temps and still snow making. Why go anywhere else!!!

  Courchevel is the daddy of them all!
  We go as a group of mad keen intermediate skiers and skiing all day every day on freshly pisted tracks is a joy. Don't think anyone does it like Courchevel.
  There are 5 resorts and each are great in their own way. If you don't want to spend a fortune DON'T go to 1850 and DON'T eat in Chalet de Pierre (28€ for 2 cokes and a bottle of water - ouch!)
  We stay in LE PRAZ and enjoy the real village atmosphere and its great bars and restaurant. Apres ski downstairs in the hotel is just sheer bliss! There are 4 superb runs into the village although I would say only 2 are guaranteed skiable for the entire season.
  Never stayed with any of the big tour operators in Courchevel (gave up on their inflexibility long ago) but have been with a couple of independent operators www.skivolution.com and for the last 3 seasons (and booked up for next again) www.tangerineski.com Great choice of wine with every meal, great value for money and great fun!

  We have just had the most fantastic time in Courchevel 1850 for xmas. It is expensive for everything, but you only need to travel down to la Tania or across Meribel to get a decent Gluwein at less than 1/2 the price, & thats for 2!
  I can highly recommend a full 3 valleys lift pass if your intermediate, as all runs are easy & now way are the blacks anything like the steep runs in Val D'Isere. It's well worth the extra pennies. Staying in Meribel Motteret would be the best area to stay in to get the best out of the area, as it is slap bang in the middle of all the valleys!

  After a lacklustre start (little snow 1 run open) a heavy dump of snow soon rescued our weeks skiing in the second week of December (2004). Excellent time was had, apres ski took over for most of the week due to the early conditions! Although expensive (6 - 8 Euro's for a pint) the atmosphere created by the seasonaires in the bars and clubs was the best I have come across whilst skiing. Particular recommendations are Bar Le Jump that became our local, great staff who be warned will ensure you drink up on time when it closes as they like to party too!! Once closing time is reached a must every night is Kalico's night club, reps, bar staff, seasonaires all flock to this at about 1am to go crazy!! Beware the ski tourist who wants to ski early as you will get drawn into this mecca for partying until 4am if you arnt careful. My liver is still recovering and after dancing like a drunk monkey most nights more injuries were recieved from here than on the pistes (getting too old for break dancing!!)

  good sking from jan onwards; very expensive, there,s a dent in the wall at bar le jump where the arsenal went out of europe last year; but i,m going back in dec 2004 so praying it snows hard, its a great place good atmosphere and very busy

  I've stayed in Courchevel over a dozen times in the last ten years, and i've never had a bad week. Without doubt Inghams offer the best value for money deals in all of the courchevel vilages.
  I'm going out there fo the second time this season at Easter. If anyone new to the area would like a guide I'll willingly show them around. This applies particularly to Canadians or other visitors. When I skied in Canada the local skiers were so hospitable and were only too willing to show visitors the slopes - I'd willingly reciprocate .

  What a place to ski. Great snow, good for all levels of skier, on or off piste. The only negative comment I've heard about this ski resort is the high cost. So don't stay at 1850! I usually stay at Le Praz (1300). Theres a lift that takes you to 1850. The lift network is terrific - interlinked to all three valleys, Meribel & Val Thorens. Lots of places to eat on the mountain. If you're on a tight budget go for an all in challet package. Try www.skivolution.co.uk. I'm going back for my third season and can't wait to hit the slopes (might even try my first black run)

  I can only really comment on 1850 - didn't go further down the valley. Overall it's a great resort - the most beautiful of the three valleys - and certainly the most expensive ! Prepare yourself mentally for paying ?8 for a beer and, if you go to Chalet du Piere (sp ?) ?18 for an omelete (a very nice omelete - but just a load of beaten eggs none the less !)

  For beginners the resort is great - loads of easy, wide runs. For the more advanced it also has loads of good runs - It's also very easy to get over to Meribel and Val Thorens if you fancy going a bit further afield.

  Courchevel is a fantastic resort. It has the best snow that I have ever experienced and the trails are long and interesting. There is terrain for all skiers and the village is spectacular! I strongly recommend this resort to any sierious skier!
